We Just Raised $175K — But This Has Never Been About the Money

There's a moment every founder remembers. Not the pitch. Not the term sheet. It's the moment before any of that — the moment you see a child struggle to find words that everyone else takes for granted, and you realise that the system built to help them is broken.

That moment is where Gabify was born. Not in a boardroom. Not in a spreadsheet. It was born in a room full of families who had spent years — sometimes a decade — waiting for a diagnosis. Families who had travelled hundreds of kilometres to be told to "wait and watch." Children who were falling behind, not because of any failure of their own, but because the tools to catch them earlier simply didn't exist at scale.

We started Gabify in 2023 with one obsessive belief: no child should be left behind simply because they were born in the wrong city, in the wrong family, or at the wrong time.

One in every 30 children today shows signs of autism, ADHD, or a related neurodevelopmental condition. Yet the average time from a parent's first concern to a confirmed diagnosis is anywhere from two to five years. Two to five years of missed early intervention. Years when the brain is most plastic. Years that can never be bought back.

The bottleneck isn't awareness — parents know something is different. The bottleneck is access. There aren't enough trained speech therapists and developmental paediatricians. The ones that exist are concentrated in metros. Assessments are expensive, lengthy, and deeply inconsistent. And in Bharat — in Tier 2, Tier 3 cities and rural communities — this problem isn't just a gap, it's a wall.

So we built Gabify — India's first fully-hosted AI-powered SaaS ecosystem for speech and neurodevelopmental care. A platform that combines voice and vision AI, analysing over 189 clinically validated parameters aligned with DSM-5 and CARS frameworks. A platform that can work in Hindi and 10+ other languages. A platform that runs on low bandwidth. A platform designed for Bharat first, but built to scale globally.

I want to be honest with you: building Gabify has been hard. There were stretches where the path forward wasn't clear, where we questioned everything. Prachi, Vasyl, and I spent countless nights debugging — not just the technology, but ourselves. What are we really building? Who does it truly serve? Are we moving fast enough?

But something kept pulling us forward. It was the parents who messaged us after using the platform for the first time, saying they finally felt heard. It was the clinicians who told us they could now screen three times as many children in a day without sacrificing accuracy. It was the school counsellors in smaller cities who said, "I've been waiting for something like this my entire career."

Purpose is a remarkable fuel. When you know your work changes what's possible for a child, every difficult conversation becomes worth having.

We are beyond grateful to announce that Gabify has raised $175,000 in pre-seed funding, led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) — one of India's most respected early-stage investor networks, with over ₹1,200 crore deployed across 280+ startups. In addition, we've been awarded ₹25 lakhs under the Nidhi Seed Support Scheme by GH Raisoni Technology Business Incubator Foundation (GHRTBI), a government-backed initiative recognising high-impact innovation.

We were part of the 4th cohort of IPV's IdeaSchool programme — a cohort-based incubator for pre-seed to seed-stage startups — and the collaboration has been everything a first-time founder hopes for: strategic, honest, and genuinely founder-first.

These words from Ankur didn't just validate our vision — they challenged us to think bigger. And we will.

Along this journey, we've been fortunate to receive recognition that reminds us we're on the right path. Being selected as one of the Top 10 Startups under DreamDeal — the flagship startup initiative by Anupam Mittal, founder of Shaadi.com and one of India's sharpest entrepreneurial minds — was a moment we didn't take lightly.

Representing India at the UNDP Youth Co:Lab, presenting at international conferences including in Madrid, receiving the SISF Grant, and testing our platform across 35+ preschool and daycare centres during private beta — each of these is not just a feather in a cap. Each one is proof that the problem is real, the solution is working, and the world is ready.

The global neurodevelopmental care market stands at over $110 billion and is growing. Post-pandemic, autism prevalence estimates have shifted to roughly 1 in 30 children. India faces a severe shortage of trained specialists — a gap that technology, deployed responsibly and with clinical rigour, is uniquely positioned to bridge.
